How to Build a Modern Geometric Planter

Posted by Leah Maria Designs on

A long time ago in a province far away........

I built this planter.

And I filmed myself building this planter, so you all could build a planter too.

And with our planters we could bring peace the galaxy.....alright galaxy is a bit of a stretch, but at least bring peace and harmony to your home.

There are no length or width measurements for this planter as you can go as big or small as you like. The angles will still stay the same. So grab some wood and let's start building!

Materials

  • wood ( I used pine but if you want to get fancy, get fancy)
  • wood glue
  • Ryobi 18 Gauge Brad Nailer
  • 1" Brad Nails ( adjust according to your wood thickness)
  • Sealer, I used Varathane Polyurethane, but you do you.

In hindsight I probably should of showed how I added the soil but alas, I did not, so you will just have to read it here.

I lined the bottom with a piece of plastic, I think it was actually a Home Depot bag, then added some "river rocks" from the dollar store, then the soil, then the plants, then more soil, and VIOLA!

As always if you have any questions at all leave a comment and share to your favourite social media site!
