I’m Leah, chief operator of power tools and design fanatic at Leah Maria Designs. Welcome to the little virtual home I built to showcase my DIY projects, interior design tips, and home decor shop! I hope everyone who visits is able to find inspiration and feel less intimidated about building something from scratch or getting creative when it comes to showcasing your personality in your home.
I had zero experience when I picked up my first power tool (which was not all that long ago, actually). All I had was a vision and some tutorials to follow, and guess what? I was instantly hooked! There’s just something about turning a bunch of raw materials into a unique planter or a functional piece of furniture for your home that makes you feel so accomplished. I guess I’m saying I hope you never feel intimidated. Every project I share on the blog is one I’ve created myself, and I know you can do it too!
My aesthetic is Rosie the Riveter meets Jackie O. I use power tools to create original modern designs that will take your home decor to the next level. When it comes to making your house a home, I believe getting your hands dirty is just part of the fun!
When I’m not designing or building, I’m most likely hanging out with my plants. Yes, I'm a proud plant mom and my house looks like a modern Jumanji (minus all the animals). I’m also OBSESSED with coffee. I know a lot of people say that, but with me, it’s on a completely different level. I’d say it’s a problem, but it’s not.
My hope for this platform is that I’m able to introduce you to a new hobby or help you find a new favorite piece for your home. Whether or not you consider yourself a homebody, there’s just nothing like creating a space where you feel completely comfortable and inspired. You got this!
