I had this glass vase in my basement for what seemed like an eternity. I couldn't bring myself to throw it away because its silhouette was just too pretty. I knew one day, some how, I would find a use for it. Well, I am happy to report that day has come. Turns out all I needed was a little bit of paint, some dirt, and this vase was ready for a glow up.

I had this glass vase in my basement for what seemed like an eternity. I couldn't bring myself to throw it away because its silhouette was just too pretty. I had wanted to upgrade the bed in our spare room for quite some time. It was just a bare metal frame and I wanted something just a bit more fancy, but I also didn't want to spend a whole lot of money. And then came this idea to build a faux surround for the metal frame to make the bed look like a luxurious upholstered bed but without the hefty price tag.
The laundry room in our builder spec house left a lot to be desired. It wasn't functional or nice to look at. It was definitely high on my list of rooms to renovate in our home. I also knew that I didn't want to spend a ton give it a facelift. We had a rainy long weekend and it was the perfect opportunity to tackle the project.

If you went and looked at your BBQ right now, would it make you happy? Or is it just a black/grey blob of furniture that sticks out in your backyard. And nope, this isn't going to be another boring how-to of cleaning your BBQ to make it look new. We are seriously going to reinvent what you think a BBQ can look like!
In this blog I am going to show you how easy it is to frame out a builders mirror, or any mirror, in your home.

When we bought our current home I knew right away that A) I loved our walk in closet and b) I hated our walk in closet. So let's stay postivie and start with what I loved about it. It was big, and the entry was in the bathroom. And thats basically where the love ends. It was very clearly just a room with one wire shelf in it that was trying to pass itself off as a closet, and failing miserably.
I love what a headboard can do for a bedroom. It makes the bedroom feel so much cozier than just a blank wall staring back at your when you climb into bed. I've been wanting one for awhile but didn't want to shell out the big bucks to get a king size upholstered one. So, spoiler alert, I decided to make one! I was shocked how easy and inexpensive it was do it. This tutorial will walk you through exactly how I made mine.
